It was way back in July 2010 that Google gave users of its email service a preview of the interface which was to come in the near future but nobody knew it would take 15 months for the Search Giant to unveil the new aesthetic design. Having said that it is good that they took such a long time rather than go the facebook way who are so inclined to constantly change their interface which obviously has not gone down so well with users(They come back to the site anyways

Email is a great and a convenient way to stay in touch with the WORLD but in today’s information age this electronic communication can well become annoying especially when you find hundreds of messages of varying importance waiting for your attention upon logging in to your mail account. Over the years companies offering free email domains have introduced a whole lot of features making our email experience a pleasure. Gone are the days when customer requirements fuelled these features. Today all that matters is ‘What can you Offer??’ Gmail is one such example as they have something new to offer to their users every time they login (Users who login every few hours are excluded: D)
If you thought Google was only into Software then you are absolutely wrong. You might have been right before 5th Jan 2010. However with the launch of its Smartphone – Nexus One a device with speech recognition, Google has finally announced its entry into the Hardware market.

Google’s decision to come out with a Smartphone is not surprising but I guess they have taken a bit long considering that they jumped into the mobile market with the announcement of developing a free Smartphone operating system(Android) 2 years back. Some of the readers might be interested to know why a search and Web Giant like Google would enter the Hardware market.
Who will win the battle???
On July 7th, the day when Gmail was finally out of beta Google announced through its blog that they were working on a new project: Google CHROME OS which is just an extension of the Chrome browser that they released 9 months back and which they claim to be a success (30 million people use it).There has been a lot of buzz ever since Google launched the Chrome browser and many experts felt that Chrome was an experiment from Google and they had much bigger plans in the near future.Google has been working on this OS for many years now but made it officiall only a week back.
