All good things have to come to an end and so did the chargers 4 match winning streak but not without a fight though from the chargers. Sehwag won the toss and put the chargers into bat. For the first in the tournament both the openers got out cheaply to the pacy left armer Nannes. The chargers scored 55 for the loss of 4 wickets in 10 overs..There was a complete momentum shift after the strategic timeout which saw the powerful Dwayne smith hitting boundaries at will. His knock of 48 from just 28 balls got the chargers 148 in their allotted 20 overs. I thought they were short by 10 to 15 runs.

Who says T20 is all about big score, raining sixes??? Even Low Scoring contests can be exciting ones as it turned out to be in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings 11 Punjab. The match started on time in Capetown which presented a completely different picture. It was bright sunny afternoon compared to the gloomy rainy day yesterday. Kings 11 won the toss and elected to bat. It was not bright thought for them with Karan goel getting run out without facing a ball. Bopara who was the man of the match last time failed this time getting out to Kamran khan who bowled a wonderful spell of 4 overs for just 15 runs and took 2 wickets. It was Sangakara’s 60 and Irfan’s 39 which got Kings 11 to 139 which was below par. It was a great to see the contest between the two Pathan brothers with Irfan getting better of his older bro.

It was a super Thursday with both the matches going down the wire. First it was Delhi who clinched a high scoring thriller and then it was Royals who won a thriller via a super over, the first ever in IPL. First I would like to speak about the 2nd match ie between KKR and RR.
