KKR humbled by CSK

MS Dhoni 2008 – KKR started high by beating Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers, but Super Kings stopped their winning run and then they ended up 6th in the table. Is history going to repeat itself?? It’s too early to say but the script looks the same as of today. Things surely were going according to plan for Kolkata Knight Riders until the final assault from the Chennai duo(Dhoni & Badrinath) spoiled the party for Dada and his million fans. It has only been a month since Dhoni and the Indian team were cheered by the Kolkata fans to equal the series against SA but today Dhoni was on the opposite side but that didn’t deter him one bit. We got to see phenomenal hitting from him which helped Super kings to post a competitive total. KKR who have been on a roll winning their first 2 matches were beaten comprehensively by 50 runs.

Katrina Kaif greets Shah Rukh Khan during the IPL match. It’s amazing to see what a win can do to a team. KKR who ended up in 6th and 8th positions in last 2 seasons of IPL have begun their campaign this year with 2 consecutive wins and what is more important to note is that they have beaten the last year ‘s finalists. If it was DC in the tournament opener it was Royal Challengers today who were beaten black and blue. Angelo Mathews once again showed why he is such a good all-rounder. The other day he smashed the DC bowlers around the park and today he followed up with the ball to pin down Royal Challengers. Once the bowlers did their job it was the turn of the openers who batted splendidly to make the job easy for the batsmen to follow.  PHOTOS

IPL 3 is Back in INDIA :)

1It is that time of the year once again when Movies take a backseat and theaters wear a deserted look and instead people will be glued to their television sets for 45 days while the grounds are jam packed with crazy fans and loyal supporters of their respective franchises. Yes we are talking of IPL which is in its 3rd season and more importantly back in INDIA.IPL boss Lalit Modi sees his baby becoming bigger than the NFL, the NBA, and the English Premier League. Sounds very ambitious and futuristic but hey he might not have a degree from an IIM but he is the right salesman for the right product (IPL) and has a belief in the power of the market.
