Kieron Pollard plays a shotMatch 57(1st Semi Final) – Kieron Pollard’s all round show ensured that Bangalore Royal Challengers didn’t reach their 2nd consecutive IPL Final and instead MI sailed through the finals and hence qualified for the Champions League Twenty20 to be held in September. RCB were in control for most part of Mumbai’s innings only to see Pollard play yet another delightful cameo to lift the Mumbai Indians to an impressive 184-5. It was always going to be a tough chase and this being a semi final only made it harder. Bangalore’s batting powerhouse stumbled yet again and never threatened to get close to the target. Even a limping Kieron Pollard was good enough to take 3 wickets and was rightfully awarded the man of the match.

Good times for the Challengers as Mumbai Indians are beaten all ends up

R Vinay Kumar sparked a Mumbai collapse as the home team stumbled. The challengers didn’t put a foot wrong in the double header on Saturday as they beat Mumbai Indians comprehensively by 7 wickets. Mumbai were on a roll having performed exceptionally well in their first 2 matches but all that didn’t matter today as it was RCB all the way. They notched up their 3rd straight win to zoom to the top of the points table. It took a disciplined bowling performance from the Bangalore boys to restrict the strong Mumbai batting order to a modest 151. Once that was done Kallis (66) took care of the rest as he continued his unbeaten streak in this season. It looks like he is going to have that orange cap around his head for some more matches as he has amassed 264 undefeated runs in his season.
