MSD & Co. with the coveted Trophy

28 years is a long time for history to repeat itself but its been worth the wait as the Men in Blue lifted the coveted trophy to become the World Champions for the the 2nd time after Kapil Devils did it way back in 1983. For a nation so crazy about the game this is nothing short of 2nd independence if i might call it.

Dhoni who has been instrumental in leading the Men in Blue right from World T20 to attaining No 1 status in Tests and putting an end to a 28 year wait for the ultimate Trophy – World Cup . IPL 3 is Back in INDIA :)

1It is that time of the year once again when Movies take a backseat and theaters wear a deserted look and instead people will be glued to their television sets for 45 days while the grounds are jam packed with crazy fans and loyal supporters of their respective franchises. Yes we are talking of IPL which is in its 3rd season and more importantly back in INDIA.IPL boss Lalit Modi sees his baby becoming bigger than the NFL, the NBA, and the English Premier League. Sounds very ambitious and futuristic but hey he might not have a degree from an IIM but he is the right salesman for the right product (IPL) and has a belief in the power of the market.  Read more... “God”zillas of Mumbai

ibnattack-3-430A group of 20-25 people gain entry into a building by beating up the security guards and then they run up to the seventh floor with a frantic pace and barge into an office attacking the private security guards with baseball bats and man-handling the employees not even sparing a women receptionist. Furniture and fittings, glass partitions, LCD TV screens, OB vans were damaged in a matter of minutes. So what is this all about?? It is not a scene from a Bollywood flick which is being shot at a film studio but an outrageous attack by Shiv Sena activists on the offices of IBN Lokmat and IBN7, the Marathi and Hindi news channels of the IBN Network, in north-east Mumbai’s Vikhroli on Friday. MUMBAI SEALINK – India’s latest showcase to world

Mumbai MarvelIts been 5 years since the PM Manmohan Singh expressed his desire to see Mumbai one day become Shanghai.  Why Shanghai ?? Shanghai and Mumbai. Two of Asia’s greatest cities, washed by the seas, blessed by history. Both began their modern journey as British Empire’s subjects – one became a fascination after the first Opium War in 1842, the other, a clutch of villages, had been gifted as dowry to Charles II almost two hundred years earlier. Not much headway has been made towards making this dream a reality. But on June 30th we could see an Engineering Marvel – Bandra- Worli sealink finally be opened to the Public.  Read more...
